nights after nights i could not sleep due to the damn tick, tick, tick, tick.......... so i decided to mod my clock

.
got a set of screwdrivers opened the clock and jacked out the "seconds needle", now its SILENT, still works and keeps time as it should but its all quiet. Now i can enjoy my sleep......
.....ZZZZZzzzzZZzZZZZZZZZzzzzzz

opps! was ment to go in the general section! mods please move ....

I performed a similar mod on my alarm clock one morning, only now none of the hands turn and the face is cracked.

I upped the voltage on my clock once, ramped the sucker up to see if I could get it to run nice and sweet like... took me a days to realise this wasnt a good idea though.... I didnt the daystimes were meant to be dark!

That is class mate, really good idea. personaly I go with a digital clock tho, already silent and you can see it in the dark

hmmm....tricky one here. I tried to water cool the t.v. once with a delicately mixed solution of carefully measured out robinson's orange + barley squash...

needless to say it didn't work out too well for the t.v.

sounds like most of us need to steer cleer of overclocking and cooling household objects... I tried to water cool my toaster.... then my toast came out badly, so I thought I would use a fork to jam the pipes in place.... man... needless to say it didnt work.... maybe next time I'll just microwave my toast....

One of my digital clocks had something slightly loose inside that causes it to resonate a really loud sound from what I assume is the power supply, so it starts buzzing at random intervals, and it got so annoying when I was trying to sleep, as it'd be all quiet then all of a sudden BZZZZZ.
Needless to say I unplugged it and replaced it with a quieter one
