I don't get the whole Pete Doherty thing...

I have both Libertines albums, and have listened to them both properly, but don't have an ounce of liking for them. They were hailed as the 'greatest band in years', and Pete's lyrics are meant to rival those of Bob Dylan. To me, they sound exactly like what they are, drunk junkies playing pathetic twiddly guitar over slurring vocals.

the libertines are absolute class, have u heard up the bracket - the album?? its fantastic, the 2nd isnt that great though as for babyshambles, yer i can agree with u


also on this, i read in the paper that it was pete who got the better of johnny borrell, i heard he headbutted borrel who punched him back and that was it, it got seperated, but apparently borrell was bleedin a fair bit and in a worse state

doherty is a d**k yes, but johnny borrells arrogence drives me mad the ugly p***k thinks hes something so special
