curing a sore throat

i dont think it would be appropriate to tell you the remedy i tell my fiance when she has a sore throat :/

never take lockets or anything like that for a sore throat.

I was once told by a doctor that these kinds of remedies have a little smidgen of pure sugar at the centre, so you take the packet........... yep seems to be working and then as you finish it helps the bacteria back to life with a burst of sugar and you automatically think "hmm its cause i ran out of lockets", and you buy some more.

so boycott all that stuff

Also, I find lockets actually make my whole mouth feel as if its burning, especially the lemon/honey flavoured ones.
