Talking <----- Too much colour - it's hurting my eyes...

I agree. Before, they looks sort of sophisticated or something, but now they're so colourful that they're overly informal. With forums, I generally find that the ones that use the least colours (simple pale shades etc), are the best because they don't attract 12 year olds who like colourful things and spamming.

They just don't suit the rest of the site at all in any way. I really hope tha part of the upgrade is backdated eventually.

EDIT - I think the same about the thread/post icons too. They look very childish to me.

The new smilies simply came with the s/w upgrade.

We will change the smilies back to the ones we had before; but when you upgrade vB there is things which you lose

Thanks, it all seems fine now .

EDIT - I've just noticed something. I've just recieved a PM, and usually when I go to hexus forums when I have a PM, a box comes up telling me I have a PM, and asking me if I want to view it in the current window or a new one. That didn't happen with this PM. Maybe I closed it without realising or something, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get one.

Is that because of the software upgrade, or is it just me?

If close all the windows down, when I come back (within a certain time) the threads in 'new subscribed thread' in the use CP all go back to bold even if nobody new has posted in them.

That happened occasional for me with the old one, I don't find it too annoying.

Nevermind - I must have just closed the first one without realising it. I just got another PM, and the box came up fine .
