My bloody house sale is still not completed. The vendors of my house seem to have another house to sell before we can complete which is news to me

As far as I was aware theyt had sold their house and that was it, but its just dragging too much and my wife and I are getting seriously stressed out.

I feel for you man - my brother is having the same problem right now. And knowing my luck i will have the same problem at the end of the year when i start to sell / buy a new place.

house chains are a pain in the arse. Stick with it thou, don't let them extract any money out of you for imediate sale.

Could always ask you agent to contact them and offer to break the chain (if they have such a service)

Well it just seems to be getting nowhere at all. Today I have been told that the bottom house in the chain has not even had the searches done on it, thats the bloody first thing to do. My solicitor never seems to get hold of our buyers solicitor either and there just seems to be no sense of urgency on anybodys part. As far as I can tell my estate agent is happy to sit on his arse and wait for his fat paycheck to roll in. I think that we are going to break the chain and screw them all over and I will only sell to a cash buyer and I will reduce the price if its needed for an immediate sale.

...a system designed to fully stress out those involved as the estate agent (read: scum of the earth) is making a fat wedge out o it all regardless of it going through or not...!

My point exactly the bloody estate agent is all nice as pie to me but of course all he wants is my money, he is going to get about £3500 from our house sale and I am sure he does not care how long it takes.

i thought this was going to be a post abou that bloody zombie game.. so glad to see its not.. but the sadness of this story brings me right back to earth.. i would give you advice but you know the situation much better.. just do what you think is right in the situatino and do what will make you calm again
