I generally wake up a little while before my radio goes off, and since it's a radio, there's no snooze .

i set my alarm for when my mum gets up, stick it on snooze cos i know she's going in the shower, then if she's still not out by the first snooze, i stick it on again, then she comes in and tells me to get up lol

sometimes i either dont bother setting my alarm, or manage to switch it off instead of putting it on snooze and not being able to wake up slowly!

speaking of sleep, that's where i'm headed now

I have 7 or 8 different alarm clocks. They're hidden in various places around the room and I have to swap around which ones I use so I don't get used to them.

On it's own, one alarm clock lasts about 3 wakeups before I learn to disable it in my sleep or just sleep through it.

In my old flat, the guy next door used to come knock on the door to let me know my alarm was going off.

Anyone seen the standup comic - can't remember the name (usually on paramount on "Live at Jonglers") who does a cool routine based on the snooze fuction?

For snoooze is the work of the devil.

I always seem to wake up a good 10 min before my alarm bellyaches, i can never be arsed to get up until i hear it though

I'm a drastic snoozer. When I lived on my own I had two (identical) alarm clocks and one coffee machine which I primed before I went to bed. The first alarm clock would go off and I'd kill it and fire up the coffee machine. When the second one went off 15 minutes later I had a hot cup of (immensely strong) coffee to fire me out of bed. More recently (until two weeks ago when my job ended) I just used my mobile phone...I hit snooze until about half an hour before my train, then rushed around having a shower and leaving the house about 8 minutes before it was due. I can't remember the last time I didn't have to properly run for it.

Since I've been unemployed I've been sleeping in until midday (orr occasionally 2pm) every day except this morning when I had to be out of the house by 7.40am for a booze cruise. When it's something important I can always get out of bed.

I use my phone alarm so when I set it I chuck it over to the other side of the room, forcing me to get out of bed to turn it off.

Only problem is I just go straight back to bed in one smooth motion and am straight back to sleep without even noticing...

Media Centre alarm clock goes off at 7.00 am sharpish each day with a nice selection of house songs and a few pendulum mp3's playing on my 5.1 speakers.

It's that loud I don't have time to press the snooze button

Aye but the question you really should be asking yourself is...

Do you set your alarm just before you are due to get up so that you get that little bit of extra sleep before the alarm goes off, or do you set it really early so that you can turn it off and snooze for an extra 20 mins or so...

I do both, depending on my mood the night beforehand - either way it always the wrong decision when I wake up in the morning!

I set mine for 7 am as it gives me enough time to get a coffee or 6 down my neck, check emails, and get rid of my terrible bedhair before mooching to work.

I've got that sad now I've started to wake up about 5 mins before - logging on the PC and shutting the mediacentre plugin off before it wakes the whole area.

Very rarely I over sleep even at the weekends. Get in @ 4-5 am and get up @ 7 am no matter what.

usually once, due to the fact that i only set my original alarm time 15 mins b4 i need to leave, and with a 10 min snooze i dont really have a choice but to only snooze once.
