I think you'll find me just as boring and unimaginative. It's just Gnome with a few program icons spread across the top, with Geyes watching me, and a system monitor. On this computer, it's just the standard Fedora background. On my main Debian installation, it's a picture of lots of penguins, reprenting the different Linux distributions, while my other Debian installation has a cross between Tux and the Mac logo. My Windows installation is even worse. A blue background.

HEXUS cannot and will not condone piracy. One member has already been banned for mentioning it, don't make it more

GNOME just doesn't.... feel right somehow.

    Hard to quantify I know.

Hehe - I feel much the same about KDE. I really, really don't like using it. I don't like the look of it, but there's something more than that... anyway, we're going a bit off topic here, so I think we'd better stop this discussion - if you really want to carry on the debate, please do... there isn't enough Linux-y talk on these forums (beyond "Which Distro?" or "Linux won't install!!11! I hate it!!111!")

    Myth was banned

I could see him getting in trouble for mentioning all the "adult related" stuff, but for piracy? Hmm.

edit: also, regarding nix desktops, Xfce is lovely, try it out, I was playing around with it on a friends machine via VNC last night, and it seemed really good, everything easily variable, and lots of nice presets.

    Also, no-one thumbnailing anything?

hmm, i dont really agree with myth getting banned, he never actually said that his porn collection was illegally obtained, just that he used azureus to download it...

    hmm

I thumbnailed changed slightly since then will upload a new version when i get back from work.

And we can't talk about piracy here, but don't forget that downloading 'adult' material illegally like myth mentioned (torrents...) is just as bad as software, its still piracy

But he never said it was downloaded illegally though, theres plenty of free adult material on the internet. People who do it for kicks, strange as they may or may not be, no doubt want maximum coverage, and that no doubt included shoving it on specific types of torrent site.
