To give you a rough idea of myself; I'm 17, work full time as a webdesigner, Ice and roller skate every week. I weigh about 8.5 stone, am anout 5'9" and am quite skinny but toned. I don't smoke or do any drugs.
Day 1 - Thursday
--------------
So, whilst really working up a sweat, as you do, sat at my desk staring at photoshop, i suddenly feel a really sharp pain in my back. I know this pain. I got it about four months ago and just lived with it for three weeks. It hurt to walk more than twenty metres, and it hurt just moving around.
I decided to go see my GP anyway so called up and they told me to go the same day. I left work early and got a Taxi there. My GP couldn't really see anything wrong with me and told me to 'live with it', but decided I should get an X-Ray anyway. I walked from the GP to the main road to get the bus (To go two stops) and was in absolute agony. I tried to crash on the bed when I got in but it hurt to lie down. What the hell is wrong with me? I didn't do anything to damage myself.
Day 2 - Friday
--------------
After an agonizing night of pain, I wake up with absolutely no intention of going to work. I decide to phone the hospital to book my X-Ray and they tell me to go on down at 4. Stay at home and sit at the PC while I wait.
Head for my X-Ray at the small hospital... it gets taken. As soon as they see it: "Go to the Vic. Now!"... ah that's reassuring, something is majorly wrong. At least i'm not imagining it.
Get there, no wait whatsoever... FULL waiting room, yet they knew I was on my way (Guess they phoned ahead at the other hospital) and took me straight into a room full of painful looking things and lay me down.
"Your lung has collapsed."
...
...
... wtf?
Saturday and Sunday are me lay in bed with a tube hanging out of my chest to a bottle type thing to release air and reinflate my lung. Great fun.
It also means i spent three weeks walking around with a collapsed lung at one point too, and becuase this is a second time it's leading me to believe it's not going to be the last I hear of it.
Ah well, week off work ahoy
