Parents (namely MUM) in bedrooms

Does any1 else have this thing about your room being YOUR room and no1 elses? My mum has been through all my stuff 'tidying' today and tbh it's really really pee'd me off. She knows she doesnt go in my room without my saying so - so I'm just really annoyed she came in!

There's stuff in here I'd rather she not find (no nothing illegal) and she's found some of it and sodding binned it :@ It's going to get a huge clear out next week anyways as I'm redecoration... so WHY did she do it if it wernt for a nosey?

Granted I have half the mug cubord in ere but all she hasta do is ask ffs and she knows I bring em' to the kitchen!

Am I paranoid? Or is anyone else like this!?

Er. Well, without knowing the stuff that she shouldn't have found...hide it better! My room is lovingly refered to as "the pit" by my mother. Most, if not all the family avoid it at all cost, even if personal gain or benefit is to be had.

private notes from friends? A medical leaflet I'd ratehr no1 found, a picture of me and friends, belongings of friends etc (no nothing they shud be hiding). She doesnt ever tidy my room, thats my point. She's come in here deliberately for a snoop which is why I'm so blimin' angry at her.

Tell her off! If she can't respect your private space [which, imo, a bedroom is] then you need to have words together.

At a guess, she's probably worried/concerned as to what you're up too [yes, the D word, they all suspect it at some point! ] rather than just being plain nosey.

i went through this with my mum, but she soon got the message that it's my room and she doesnt come in and "tidy" EVER.

now when she comes in its usually just to chat and if she goes to pick anything up she gets shouted at and she puts it back, even if it's clothes on the floor, she cant help it

it's a mum thing. But as maffu said, she's just curious as to what u're up to. Mums dont think about talking to you about stuff, they'd rather go snooping to try to "catch you out". Dont worry bout it, if it's nothign too "OMG!" she wont mind. However binning things is out of order. Is it too late to retrieve them or have you dont that already?

I dont like people in my room that i havent told to be in there. If i come home and find sum one in my room i am instantly vex unless they female, unrelated b00tyful and naked.
No one tells me to clean my room (the way it shud be) i clean it as and when i think it needs it.

My mum doesnt come in my room and snoop. She just comes in to see me, or to stick something in there. The odd occasion she has started to tidy I don't like it because she moves things I know where they are, then I don't! Annoying. Thankfully she hasn't done that for ages now.
