    Short term Image hosting

    Hi,

As heavy user of varous forums, i very reguarly find my slef in a situation where i'd like to have an image hosted for a short peroid of time, quickly. Also a lot of members of a forum that im a key member of has a lot of non-techy people who struggle with even the most basic use of forums, let allone finding there own image hosting!

    - I used to use the 'i hate aol' image uploader alot, i got in contact with the operater of the site and gained permission for memebers of our forum to use it, and wrote a biggners guide to hosting an image using it, becuase it was so very quick and easy to use indeed and it was somthing they could handle, But its now not avalable.
    - Are there anyother places that just simply allow you to upload a file, no strings attached?

I know there are places such as photo bucket etc that you have to sign into etc, but it such a pain all the time when your just in the middle of writing a post or whatever.

Alternativly, how much work would it be to set up a webpage such as the imageuploader found on the 'i hate aol' site? (i happened to know someone who can get unlimited bandwidth for free when ever)

    ta

did the image myself quite a while back now, looks worse and worse every day

it is good for hosting BIOS's and stuff like that, as they are good to be able to distribute easily

    - Very simple and easy to use, thats what we need more of!
    - Athough i assume you can only hot-link to it from your forum?

I use imageshack.ws all the time. Fast, free - and with the imageshack plugin for your PC you can just right click on an image and click the 'upload to imageshack' button and then a few seconds later you have your link(s) in a variety of formats - thumnails, full pics, just links. perfect
