So I need someone to buy me 3 pairs and post them over to me.

Can anyone help me out?

I'm looking for Levi 569s. They are the best fitting jeans I've had for ages and have gone through 6 or 8 pairs now over the last few years.

If someone can help, I'll cover any costs of course.

Most likely not. Two friends and myself use www.myus.com, and while we can request that they declare a package to have a certain lower-than-actual value, customs may still decide to check the contents. If they then decide that the declared value is rubbish, they'll do their own estimate and tax you on that. At least, that's the way it works when importing here in South Africa.

In the UK I believe that gifts are not subject to import duty (presumably there must be a limit though) so have the package marked as a gift, or with a value less than £18 IIRC.

Of course whatever jeans you would buy in the UK have been taxed at 17.5%, so you should have saved a few quid to cover duty if the worst happens...
