Oh Knoxville (and other guitar affectionados), look what the postman brought me...

Mr DHL brought me a rather fantastic addition to my growing guitar collection...

    Dean Dime-O-Flame

I can't even begin to emphasise just how much this guitar absolutely rocks! Neck, trem and the monster Dimebucker pickup. It screams, it screams

    The rest of the collection:

Now have two of those ultra-rare 7-string ESP H207's as well

Anyone else a serious guitar collector/hoarder..?

    Wow, very nice

    Better than my setup anyways!

On a 7 string, what note is it? I've had some people say F and some say its another B, but I don't know

Dude....you're physically hurting me here, seriously want one of the new Dime guitars especially after seeing a few of them on the dean stand at music live earlier this month *drools* torn between saving that bit extra for a razorback or a FBD old school shape one.

I've cut down my collection a little lately to make room for a new guitar.

    Currently I've got -

    Guitars -

    B.C Rich Boris Beast
    Gibson Gothic Explorer
Squire Tom Delonge Strat (first guitar)

And my newest baby - B.C Rich NJ Series KKV

(no pics of my own of it yet unfortunatly)

    Bass's -

    Schecter Custom 5 String
    MIJ Fender Jazz 4 String

Got a new Behringer Hell Babe wah in the post a few days ago aswell, impressive for the price

Do you just throw money at guitars you see in Slayer videos?

Only one of my guitars looks remotley like anything in a slayer video. I bought the guitar for three reasons.

    1. I love the way it looks regardless of who plays it.

    2. The person who does play it happens to be one of the people that got me into playing guitar.

    3. I wanted a King V shape guitar with a floyd and this is the best compromise between price and quality.

The guitar doesn't make the guitarist. I've had the same guitar for 5 years and I have a friend who has a crazy expensive set up, I lob my simple stuff on and put him to shame. It proved that with all that fancy set up, he can still be shown up when it comes to putting it to practice.

I still don't think it's wise to go and buy guitars that you don't need.

True - but when your doing gigs as a semi-pro band then a decent setup is needed, a pacifica guitar with bad tone just wont cut it.... well thats comming from my experience.

That depends on the player in my opinion, I find new gear spurs me on and makes me look at different ways to improve my playing, buying the V made me look at things differently and has gotten me back into playing more often than I have done in the last year.

Oh please mighty guitar guru. Please do tell us what to buy as obviously we are incapable of making our own minds up or professional choices

Funny though, never seen Kerry King or Jeff Hannemann playing a 7 string ESP archtop or a Jackson surfcaster
