    what to buy??!!

okay, so theres about 3 weeks or so til xmas, and i have bought no presents for anyone so far...

on wednesday i'll have £90, and i have £15 now, so, i need to buy 3 presents, mom, brother, and dad...

    right, so what to buy?

generally if my dad wants something, he buys it himself. comes with ahving a fair bit of money, but it also leaves everyone in the family pondering what to buy him, im considering the band of brothers boxset, but i 1. dont know if he'd like it, or if he has it (works away from home and has mini dvd collection where he works)

    right, then theres my brother:
he doesnt have many interests, pool, darts, movies, again, works with my dad, so i never know what dvd's to buy him, i bought him a dvd for his birthday in october, later to find out he had it, and had to sell it at a loss on hexus. i could get him darts, but i dont know what weight darts he likes or whatever... i am thinking maybe a pool cue? but i dont really know how often he plays pool.

    then theres my mom.
i havent got a clue what she would want, beyond the usual slippers, chocolate, book or perfume, i dont have any original ideas... i need some ballpark ideas, something original that she would appreciate, but something that wont break the bank... at the moment, im without a job, so any money i get is at the minute well needed for stuff other than presents, but i dont mind spending most of my money, aslong as i have some money to get by.

please give me some ideas, im stuck and its creeping up again!

    Ste

    Oooh difficult!

Why not gift vouchers for your Dad and Bro maybe! bit boring i know but then it would save the hassle of duplicating films

I buggered up last year with Jon, i bought Getaway In Stockholm 4 for him last year and he'd already got it, luckily i had time to take it back and choose somethimg else, awkward sod i havent a clue this year and i can't go shopping until me hols start

Instead of a prezzie for your Mum why not give her a voucher offering her your services around the house for a week ?

Sorry if my ideas are crap

For your mum.. books. I read some really good ones recently by a guy called Danny King, he is HILARIOUS. Buy her the Hitman Diaries AND the Burglar Diaries.

I've never ever been into books before, but these always make me actually laugh out loud.

I don't see the point of Vouchers, its like money that you can only use in one shop -_-

Do the noble thing, buy something for yourself and give that to them. In about 3 months when it has been discarded, you'll be happy

Yeah buy something for your entire family as a joint gift, and then discover you are the only one who uses it, like my mate did with a freeview HD box.

yes but in the case of my mum thats a good thing. If you buy her next vouchers she has to buy something for herself.

Give her money and she'll no doubt buy some food for the family or some other house related thing. She openly admits this and therefore says she likes vouchers from next.
