A heart attack is the common term for acute myocardial infarction, which is when "part of the heart muscle is injured, and this part may die because of sudden total interruption of blood flow to the area."Originally Posted by 5lab
It is sometimes used to mean unstable angina pectoris, which is "chest pain due to ischemia (a lack of blood and hence oxygen supply) to the heart muscle, generally due to obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries."
Both of these are different from cardiac arrest, which is "the cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the ventricles of the heart to contract effectively during systole [contraction of the heart muscle; a beat]."
Now whether or not a sudden dose of adrenalin can be the cause of any of these, I'm not certain. You'd need to ask a doctor.
