Why bother spending extra cos it says 'men' on?

Just buy some cheap 'girls' ones.

So long as they aint the multi layer ones they'll be fine.

I used to straighten my hair (when I had it) with the missus' straighteners... some babyliss ceramic jobs - not too expensive, iirc. Make sure that you wash, condition and dry your hair properly before you straighten. A set of regular straighteners is fine

Conditioner is a must, but not necessarily a need to dry it before you straighten it - depends on what your working with. Also, if this is gonna be a regular thing, make sure you use a good 'leave-in' moisturising serum else you'll massacre your hair real quick.

If you've got long hair and don't mind spending a bit of money every few months - look at professional straightening treatments. L'Oreal Extenso kicks ass and doesn't break the bank if you go to the right places.

I can't remember the brand name that the missus used, but it's just a spray thing you put on just before you straighten. It'll be with all the straightening stuff in Boots, I'd imagine.

I use remmington wide slimline straighteners, they were about £30 in argos when i got them so they're probably less than that now. (these are mine)

I use Infraheat spray (you can get it from such places as salon services and sally's) on my hair before i blowdry/straighten it

also, why the hell would you buy straighteners with the word men on the box? you can guarentee they'll be EXACTLY the same as the womens ones, but marked up by about £20!

the iron uses steam and by GOD it ruins your hair.

also, for all those who say straightening is for sissies, yes, i totally agree, however some people NEED to straighten their hair to make it respectible.

Seriously, you Brits love to live up to the stereotype. Most people I know think Brits are a bunch of fags because of this obsession with beauty. Stop it!
