Hahaha - always a problem. Leaving mine to be collected at the last minute prevents any moments of temptation

Planning on roasting a couple of ribs of 20 day beef sometime around the 28th - once the goose runs out.

    Yum!

Another question, how many ducks do you duck ppl cook? Or are there only 2 of you eating or something. I ask because ducks are tiny in comparison to turkeys (meat-wise), surely it's not enough for what is the biggest meal most ppl will eat in a year?

Where having a Goose again this year, it makes a truly yummy christmas meal! And we also have had a pair of ducks may times in the past, which is very nice too.

We had turkery last year, beucase we had friend round who really wanted it, and it qwas ok. We made a effort, and got a free-range slow-grown turkey from our local butcher, and it was cooked very competantly by my mum/dad, and it did taste very nice.
    - However, it wasnt the same, and im glad we're back to goose this year.
    - And certainly the tasteless, bland, mass-produced turkey most people eat leaves me very much uninterested.

We do two four our family of five [Mum, Dad, Me(18), Sis(14), Bro(12)]
    - Which is quite enough for the meal, but donest leave much for boxing day.

But we also do a huge Honey/Suger Roasted Ham, which lasts most of the way till newyear.

Right then, that's me done for the year. No more 6am starts selling stilton to every man and his dog. Enjoy the birds of both the roast and g/f type and see yous in the new year.

    To the pub...

So is wild duck, am more likely to bag a dusk than a goose though, just cant face plucking a goose.

Never had goose, turkey is tasteless so will plump for the new meat, I like to try something new every Christmas but no turkey ever again...

Chicken rules the proverbial roost though, but there was no option.
