Been with Evesham pre-built systems for a good 5 years now with no major problems. Most have a good on site warranty as well where a nice man will come and fix your PC if it goes tits up.

i am officially the clumsiest man in the world, so if i can do it anyone can
(warning - building your own PC can be very addictive)
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is
Hehe, tried it.
About 3mts ago I bought an old pI/II system of a mate for £50 and my idea was to just take it all apart then just put it back together so I could learn abit... easy enough hey ? Nope.
As I can remember I think I damaged the core, put the cpu fan thingy in the wrong power socket and.. oh forgot to put the small round silver battery back in the mobo.. :-) and a whole host of other stuff. ah well you live and learn eh.
I'll pluck up the nerve one day, jusy not yet.

I absolutely sh*t myself the first time I put a heat sink on a cpu, but after that its easy. I have advised two people to get MESH pc's BUT only the presumption that I would end up sorting out any problems. Nobody I know has had a good experience with pre built PC customer support, that includes Dell, Sainsburys ( yes some people expect sainsbuys to be good), Index(worse than sainsburys) and PC World (responsible for underclocking a cyrix processer to 1/3 its proper speed??).
Building is very easy, even I can do it, and its a very nice feeling when it boots for the 1st time. Somebody can write a list of connections to make after that its easy, you would just have to sh*t yourself the first time you turn it on like the rest of us
Go on you know you want to

No I have to disagree, some companies have good support.
Just companies like MESH ruin it for all the good companies out there.

But then it was in 1984 and I did have the benefit of being flown out the the US to spend a couple of weeks training, and talking with the developers, designers, hardware engineers and marketing people before coming back here and setting up training for my firm over here (and this was a VERY large multinational computer firm I worked for then ).
did they have PC's in those days then Sara ?
(Only Joking I had my 1st PC aroudn a similar time , it was a Xerox 6065 my father bought back form work , though I was only 7 then )

I still get the jitters fixing heat sinks. I sometimes feel the mobo is going to crack or something!
