Anyone know how to recover tracing paper which has had coffee spilt on it?

Not really you've most liikely change the properties of the materials. Best way to flatten paper that is crumpled is use an iron. Try the same with your tracing paper. It isn't perfect but it stops it being crumpled and messy. It's just wrinkled and flat
let it dry then use a rubber? or lighter fluid
i am guessing worth a shot though

lol Twigman.
BrandX - irons/heat make tracing paper bubble!!!
5cupa - stains aren't really visible, more the crinkles the prob.
It was some plans, got a photo copy anyway, but is best to ammend on the original. Not mine though!
thanks
i was going to say "just get another bit?" but then read on to find that there was something on it already

You should put another peice of Traceing paper on top, then trace the original.
lol ... then trace that again just to be on the safe side
Pour tea on to cancel it out.
Washing machine with a bit of vanish 2 in 1 - gets stains out of anything! even ironed on beetroot! (Why anyone would iron beetroot on in the first place - your guess is as good as mine).
put it next to a granny, then it'll look flat by comparison
hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off..
all to scale, wrinkles provide too much paper displacement for overlay - it's not mine, someone elses, think they'll be tracing over the photocopy. wondering just for sake of wondering!Originally Posted by Trippledence
Trace a new one, then laminate it, then coffee will just wipe off
what about stretching it over a balloon then wetting with gin (counter stimulant with depressant) should get the wrinkles out
alternatively, get really trashed before trying to trace it - you won't even notice the wrinkles then (or so my dodgy mates say!)
Actually wetting it is probably a good idea, then put it on a flat surface somewhere warm (like a central-heating boiler top), put a towel on top and a book or something to hold it flat
