Saw 1 & 2 tonight, not a great show but I did like the scenes with Chris Morris in.
When they use canned laughter I feel like they're trying to tell me 'this part is funny'.
I don't notice canned laughter as much if a scene is actually funny, but it's gratingly obvious when it's not

Interestingly he originally said I.T. then changed to IT. I thought it was ok really, i had to explain to all my friends that theres no techincal content for us nerds (they all thought id love it for that reason). Ill keep watching, theres only 4 episodes left anyway.

Pretty much what I thought, actually; some good gags, and I've met quite a few people in the industry that have that sort of borderline Aspergers Syndrome...

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not particularly original (a woman obsessed with shoes? C'mon!) but not mind-numbingly bad either.

As usual, Chris Morris is the best character

I also thought it was filmed in front of an audience as well, but I might be wrong on that one.

I watched it last night, and it wasn't particularly great. A couple of funny moments, but a very annoying laughter track. Father Ted afterwards was much better!
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."

It was was pretty average, I was hoping it would be a bit more clever in its jokes
    and acting etc.

I must say It amused me much like hyperdrive. Quite 'silly' overall but worth watching for a few bits (Nick Frost in hyperdrive being why I watch it if I'm about when it's on).

It's hardly Red Dwarf, Spaced or Father Ted. But at least it wasn't Little effing Britain.

Strangest part is that based on the trailers 'My Name is Earl' looks like the much weaker show, but that just isn't true. Shows adverts tell you nothing.

Good point - there don't seem to be any amusing "catchphrases" for people to repeat ad infinitum. Although, the "Made in Britain" logo joke made an appearance twice. Whaddya reckon C4 will start selling those "made in britain" labels, or have it on a t-shirt or something very soon?
