MSN Messenger - security question

I set up MSN Messenger for a friend recently and noticed today that she appeared to be online. However, she doesn't have a computer and I knew she was at home. She had been to a couple of Internet cafes to use MSN Messenger in the last couple of weeks and has probably not signed out of a particular machine.

Is there a way I can secure her account as it seems someone else is using it? I have changed her Hotmail e-mail password as an emergency measure but i'm not sure if it's enough.

You can get MSN to block the account and get a new one, if you changed the Security Question and password then it should be OK.

Longest I've known this happen before is for about 10 minutes but.. sometimes when some people log out of MSN messenger it shows them as signed in for like another 10 minutes or so.

What if the MSN is associated with the Windows account? Would this override the Hotmail password change?

I think that only saves the email address to the windows account, not the password.... (unless you told MSN Messenger to save the password)

She might have done (asked Messenger to save the e-mail address and password) but now that i've changed her Hotmail password, that old password will be invalid so things should be okay now. It freaked me out a bit as i started chatting to her only to realise that it wasn't actually her. Now someone knows i'm a perv!!!
