I hope so, cos I've had a really bad day at work and I want Hexus to fix it!

well, as i mentioned i was racing today - final result 88th out of 500-ish. BUT we had a time penalty of about 30secs added, rather unfairly I might add.

the rules state the following :

    17. Overtaking.
Crews being overtaken to maintain course relative to stream and not change course so as to impede any overtaking crew. Overtaking crews to steer clear of crews they are overtaking

therefore when one crew came up from behind I held my course. On the river Thames, by sticking in the stream and going with it (because its tidal on the par we raced) you go faster - so I did, or more accurately I steared where I wanted to go and this pissed them off, but its says there in the rules the the overtaking crew much strear round the other crew...they swore at us to move over (happens a bit in rowing - heat of the moment etc.) and we told them that the rules state we are not obliged to move- if they would be so kind to read them (of course this was also said in a greatly shortened form). bizaarely we got penalised (for being in the right...) for *quote* "foul language" *unquote* ...

well, I'm slightly consolled by the fact that BOTH crews got penalised...

without our penalisation we'd have been 43rd overall, which isn't bad. I'm happy with that result. so I technically came 43rd but 88th because of some ponce reporting that we had a tussle...
    *pats self on back*
(i'd also like to add that the organisers of the event come from the boatclub we had our encounter with, you'd think they'd know the rules).

p.s. the race is the Fours Head of the River Race on the Thames in London on the same bit of water that the Oxford and Cambridge Boatrace is held - only its done the other way round - from Chiswick Bridge to Putney (thats "a long way" in real terms) it took us today about 20mins...which does hurt and I'm now very tired so I'm off for chinese and bed.

The reason Hexus feels good is cos it is good. Also it does not lick balls, like other Iron-fist-run overclocking forums.
