    Virus alert

    someones got a virus - dunno if its here

    Received: from 212.95.115.121 (EHLO DANIEL.net)

    anyways, it claims to be a virus patch but is instead blaitently a virus. just thought i'd give a heads up

    Microsoft would never send any emails with their patches, there where many virii like this a month ago! Thanks for the heads up!

    delete any email with 'halloween.exe' or 'halloween.scr'

    Ive managed to get welchi worm and blaster worm 3 times this month
    Finally decided to start useing some anti virus software...hehe

    you also need to make sure windows is up to date : http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com - the patches from microsoft should actually stop you from getting re-infected.

    yeh get hold of a anti virus called trojon hunter its really is good and detects lots of diferent trojans

    yeah - I've been getting atacks from specific IP addresses too:

    68.112.250.127

    62.4.69.216

    64.216.219.171

    i've tried to track them but I come up empty, any ideas?

    probably just infected machines, probably just best to leave your firewall on (eg zonealarm) and ignore them.

    there's bound to be hundreds of pcs on the net still infected with MSBlast / Welchia etc.

    all you can do is make sure your pc is protected as best as it can be with:
    1. updated windows
    2. updated a/v software
    3. a firewall
