    NHS tackles Taboo in Masterbation

    Yes you read it right...

The NHS have spent some of your Tax to a Site admin on supplying us with Info about Masterbation.....

Although Masterbation is such a taboo topic to chat about -many people feel really embarrased about it or being caught doin it....

But- according to new research- it's actually good for the male because it Decreases the risk of Prostate Cancer

    NHS site

So what do you think of this?

Yes we've all done it at least once....but like the site says
it's good for you to "Self Love" yourself rather than romp everytime..... cos it can improve Orgasms for yourself and fing out what actually turns u on

For women- it's the same thing really except for the Prostate comment

This is the kind of thing that makes me sad. Hospitals are in huge debt, can't do operations that leave people suffering and they spend probably multi millions on a site about onanism. Bah.

I have a better idea. Let's do a Seinfeldian contest to see how long we can go without beating it. Seriously, my record is probably around 1 month. Can any of you beat that? I'm going to try and set a personal record starting now.

You have no idea of the NHS' ability to massively overspend for the tinest thing. At a hospital I worked in last year it cost them nearly £5 million to decide that the best way to estimate discharge time for each patient was to stick a yellow piece of paper on the front of each set of notes and ask us doctors to write when we thought the patient would be discharged!

If you can't work out how to do it by yourself, then you need to go to hospital, rather than reading about it on a website!

    you would be surprised.

i have heard stories about guys who do it first time but dont understand what they are aiming for...apparently they use a sketchy technique (it would be against forums rules to go into much detail on the technique) which actually damages tendons in the penis

its easier to just read how to do it if you're unsure...when your like 13/14 and 'exploring' yourself you are not going to want to ask your mum to book you an appointment with your GP to talk about masturbation

Reminds me of an old saying, "What's the difference between training and education?". Answer: "Would you like your daughter to receive sex training or sex education!"

That's nothing new, they've known that for ages. I don't see anything wrong with it myself, it's just not a pass-time activity for me ('tis for the wife though )

Yeah but if you actually look at this rationally, they're probably not wasting much money. If it saves one prostate op, or cancer treatment, that would probably pay for a webpage easily (even accounting for the NHS' ability to haemorrhage money). Not to mention saving the cost of a few prescriptions of Viagra, half a dozen trips to an NHS shrink for sex therapy, and at least a few GP visits by pimply youths asking "is this normal?".

I'm all in favour of websites like NHS direct keeping hypochondriacs away from our GPs.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

A few thousand? You would be surprised on how much such a simple thing costs in the NHS. Probably a couple of hundred managers headed up by an onanism tzar for this one.
