    Parcelfarce!

Pretend to deliver things without even having the item in their van and their robot telephony system bugs me no end.

****tylink come second for not being able to find an office that houses 1,000 employees in the middle of London. And then not answering their phones for 3 days.

Nothing i buy ever gets delivered by fedex - their vans look so cool i want one to turn up at my house.

only delivery company i have had troubles with is city link and that was once along time ago.
but genrally dont have trouble with any delivery companys.
its stupid because my house can be so hard to find so i am supprised they even manage to deliver on time

Fed-ex. I know its not there fault, but i have to pay TAX on any of there deliveries that came from outside the UK. Then they send snotty letters asking me why i payed them!
But i do like royal mail. Amtrak were pretty good also.
I did lose one company there delivery contract wiht securicor once. I got so angry with them on the phone they said theyd never use securicor again. Sure enough the website said the next day "were sorry for any inconvieniance but we are currently enahncing our delivery service". And the next time i ordered i got a Parcel force Van.

All Citylink, Fedex, UPS (The shorts! The SHORTS!), Parcelforce and Royal Mail deliveries that I've received have been absolutely splendid for the last 4 years. No problems at all.

I just had a rather gigglesome experience with a NightFreight driver who was delivering some weights for my home gym. He had to open the box containing the 2x20KG jobs at his van, then hobbled along like a girl carrying a bowling ball for each trip to my door. The poor chap just wasn't built for the job!

CityLink (or as they have become known between my mates and I, something that rhymes with citylink but starts with an s..)

It depends 100% on your local depot in my experience, but the two that i most frequntly have to deal with (bristol and stoke/stafford) are shocking. List of offences? here's a few:

Putting a card through the door when I am defnitely in and available - I have actaully sat there, seen the van arrive, heard the card come through the door and seen the guy walk towards his van..(before i opened the door to confont him) This one happens the most.

Smashed/damaged parcels, another common one, not always with the goods broken or damanged, but the box normally is..a few dents is to be expected i guess, but not rips, big dents or actual damage to the goods.

    Late/missed delivery's and collections.

Delivering the wrong goods to the wrong house. My housemate has the biggest problem here, he sells computers over ebay and used to use citylink as his courier. They delivered so many computers to the wrong people causing chaos for him. Royal mail did the same thing though after he switched so they are nearly as bad here.

Just a small list but you get the idea, I realy don't like citylink Their drivers have always been fine with me though on a personal level - that is never rude/offensive...just consistently bad customer service - and there is NO EXCUSE for poor customer service. Ever.

Well, first time City Link tried to deliver I was out and then it took me TWO DAYS of trying to get the depot to answer the damn phone... twice they just picked it up and placed it back on the hook.

When finally someone did answer it wsa a doddle to organize picking up from the depot (this was my first experience of them, remember)

Now I use them all the time. The driver knows I'm usually not far away if I;m out when he first calls, so he often pops back if he misses me first time. Parcel pick up is easy too, in fact, I sent some stuff off on Friday but hadn't finished wrapping it up so he nipped off to do another delivery and then came back to pick up.

If he can't deliver he'll normally hold the parcel over for re-attempt the next day too... an all-round nice bloke, tbh...

Oh and the girl who arranges the pick-ups sounds nice and always calls me 'sweetie'... awww.

    parcel2go....

i bought a pc off another forum, only wanted the cm blackwidow..... anyhoo, i seen the van pull up, then i saw this box thrown out of the van and hit the road

the box had Fragile written in big black marker all over, so unless he had cataracts he knew it had something breakable in.

I made up for it when he said sign there, i said ahhhh hang on i need to check for damage, and made him wait till i checked it...
