Thanks

you can get hemlet mount kits - would that do? your body absorbs most of hte vibration - i wouldnt reccomend using a camera you want to last though

my friend duct taped a camera to his bike once
complete failure
the recording was just a load of mud on the lense and the duct tape failed alot and the camera just fell off
if you are going to do it, do it right

oh? we've done that with a video camera (looooads of tape) and it worked pretty goodOriginally Posted by Pirate Pete

I was going to try that, but decided againist it - hense this thread . (Mud shouldn't be an issue either as I have mud guards)Originally Posted by Pirate Pete
I'd rather not have a helmet version 5lab.. something that would attach to the bike frame (like a light) would be nice.
Normal mini camera tripod + lots of rope

May have to look into making one myself;

Looks a bit nasty though.
That's actually really clever. Do that!

Possibly, I'll have to make some adjustments though because it looks ugly, but it's all what I'm looking for...
Who cares what it looks like...

if you used it offroad even in the slightest the camera would have the hell vibrated out of it - i wouldnt reccomend it..

manfrotto superclamp, oi reckon
about 20 quid all in
http://www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm#SC
Like the man says, take it offroad and you can kiss your camera goodnight. If you want decent quality footage and a working cam afterwards drop the ego and stick to yer bonnet!
There's this although probably a little too expensive and you'd have to find somewhere that supplies it in the UK.
Yeah, vibration was a worry, that's why I was asking for something that would protect it from shock too..
If I was to make the one above ^^^ (that I linked to), what could I do to customize it to help protect it from shock?
Thanks again guys.
i think it'd be very tricky to do. a bonce mounted one is a much better idea, or get an additional recording lens/ccd that can be attached separately from camera body and mount that
