    What makes you happy?

Just wondering, what makes you happy in life?

Are you generally happy? or generally sad? Whatever you are, whether happy all the time, sad all the time, up and down, what makes you that way? Are you able to change your mood?

Me: Most of the time I think I'm "in the middle", neither really happy or really sad. Sometimes I get quite negative, and sort of depressed, and it's normally the little things that make me more or less sad, eg someone smiling at me this morning made me happier, but having to look for my keys for 10 minutes and not being able to find them made me sadder...

    you?

I sound much the same! I am generally reluctant to get down, because I know there are people out there much worse off! However, I know full well things could be alot better

It depends what mood I am in, but hearing certain music can make me happy or sad.

Coldplay - Don't Panic - Kinda makes me sad in a fond memories type of way. If you know what I mean.

Mr Scruff - Blackpool Roll - Puts a smile on my face everytime I hear it because its such a churpy tune!

Sometimes I can remember something funny a mate has said, and pretty much just start laughing! Effin' embarrassing at times!

I'm happy till i things get on top of me, I love training my under 6 football team and that always brings a smile to me face.

I hate having to deal with people who screw things up at work and people who don't have a great deal of thought for others.

I love being helpful and it makes me happy if I can help others.

    Chocolate also makes me happy

I'm told by my HR department that it's a trait common amongst techies - if you believe someone can't do their job properly, then you have no respect for them and won't like them. (suppose that explains it with me...)

Being able to help someone else out - best thing in the world.

Music can have an influence - I personally don't find Radiohead depressing, but try listening to Spiritualizeds 'Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space' and not get depressed.

Aye Spritualized are the nuts, although IMHO Lazer Guided Melodies is a better album than ladies and gentlemen, although L&G has better packaging

Haven't heard their new one, tho it's not meant to be that good. Anyone heard it?

What makes me happy? Seeing my girlfriend laugh. Cracking a long standing problem in the software that i write. Winning new business for my company. Waking up on Sunday morning and checking the UK football scores first thing to see if Ipswich have won (obviously if they lose then this is not a good idea).

What makes me sad? Racism, ignorance and selfish greed.

but yer, i just play things as they come

    BAH! BUDGIE ALERT! BUDGIE ALERT!

One of my best mates (the guy who is living in Japan that we stayed with) is Narch too. Bah. I think you are top of the form table now, overtaking us. Bah.

    Bah.

One of the last things I did before leaving blighty was a trip to portman road (where we hammered pompey 3-0 and then failed to make the playoffs )

Yeah - it's the one packaged as a pill. LGM has better tracks, I just find LGWAFS a far more depressing albumn. Haven't heard spiritualiseds latest either yet. Have heard the same - its not very good.

I like it when Ipswich win - can't stand the football myself, but my wifes a big fan.

I live about 500 yards away from a school - so this year they made my whole estate 20mph and speed humps everywhere - now that annoys me - esp. since most of the mothers have 4x4s, do more than 20mph and don't care about the speed humps, cause in those things, they don't even notice them.

When I've had a good day at school and got on with everyone really well, etc, I feel happy.
Also when I'm listening to Muse or engrossed in a good TV programme or movie.

I feel sad quite often because of various reasons

But I try not to let them get to me.

Singing modern christian music makes me happy, when I'm with my friends and their on the guitars. Its great.

Spending time with one of my best friends/love interest. She doesent go to my school but goes to my church and I don't see her everyday. But that means that when I do see her I treasure each moment!

    Thats what makes me happy!
