a few ppl (me included) had this sort of thing last year when savastore.com advertised £67.50 hard drives for £6.75 (i suspect the work experience boy got sacked shortly after )

i (obviously) ordered 4, and got a confirmation email etc, so thought i was gonna get my HDDs for virtually nothing, unfortunately they are not obligated to accept the order, as explained by the email they sent me a few days later...i've kept it for posterity...as below

i think this pretty much states their legal obligations...sorry mate

We regret to inform you that the price stated on the savastore website was incorrect. It should have been 67.50+VAT.

All orders placed via our website legally constitute offers to purchase from us, just like taking goods to the till in a retail store. We are however entitled to accept of reject the offer to purchase.

In this instance, we must decline to accept your offer to purchase and your order for this item has been cancelled.

The error has been rectified to reflect the correct selling price.

We do wish to apologise for any inconvenience incurred due to the pricing error.

Thats true, but presumably savastore didn't take your money, which would have been acceptance of your offer, whereas this store did take Lead_head's money.
Mind you, they didn't take any money for decks tho - just for delivery. Does this mean that they have entered into a contract with you for delivery, but not for the sale of anything?

if you've been refunded then there's prety much nowt you can do about it - you got back the amount you paid...
and clearly they corrected their mistake on their site quickly as you say you noticed it back up to normal. so really it doesn't look as though you're getting your decks for £3 each...bad luck.

IANAL, and all that..

Would Tend to agree with this. When I posted earlier I wasn't aware you'd paid zero for the decks only postage. This does add a different slant on the position and my thoughts would be along these lines ie 'No Payment' = no consideration=No contract.
I still stand by the fact that if they had taken some money for the goods you may have had a leg (albeit a very short one) to stand on

Still, never any harm in trying....those who don't ask..Don't get!!

hehe, its not all bad lads!

Been emailing the website owner a lot and helped him out on sorting out his website!!!

He said as an apology and a goodwill gesture then he will do me a VERY good deal on some decks + mixer etc. And also if any of my mates would like anything then he could sort them out too!

So, no harm in tryin was there!
