using Mirc with a proxy

As many of my fellow IRCers know i am stuck with the Evil AOL ISP.

After much pulling of hair i have managed to get AnalogX proxy to work meaning i can use the internet on a second PC.

However it appears that I cannot use MIRC upstairs as The connection times out as the server cannot be resolved.

Any ideas how to configure it?

The Firewall option is set to Proxy and the correct IP and port have been set.

any help much appreciated

dunno if irc can work with a proxy properly - tried configuring it without? (dunno if main box is set up to bridge/route or not)

I have narrowed the problem down to DNS settings.

How can i port DNS settings from AOL across a network, I have run NSlookup and got an addressbut what do i do now?
