ok my sister entered our dog in a competition in local paper. was wondering if you guys could help us win

Call 09013073250 (calls cost 50p) and when it asks for the code use 016

or text 'PETSWIN 016' to 83070 (txt costs 50p + standard network charge *i know 90% of you hav free txts so it will only cost you 50p *)

i will be uploading the pic later so you guys can see how cute our dog lucie really is

Sorry mate! numbers starting with 09 are premium rate numbers and the charge is set by the company using the number - it can be as much as £50 especially if you dial a code accepting that you wil pay the sum agreed for example by dialling "016". The same can apply to text messages. As much as i would love to help you win, why not try and win it fairly? surely it wil l look funny if for example your dog recieves 1 million votes from a community of 5000 people, butthen again if it is a scam you will be more than happy to get this many votes.

Thats correct but by dialling or entering numbers you can skip this system and be charged higher rates, thats why most scammers are based outside the UK. Like when you keep on winning trips to disney land and all you have to do is press 9 to receive your prize.

Again. This is not possible with the UK phone system.
Its the biggest myth ever and has been covered here many many times. People on this forum even post "Press 9" when somone posts a BS 'fact'
All this "pressing numbers to redirect your call to a higher tarrif" is non-sence. It simply can not be done.
