I'm Giving up Coding (but only for the next 3 weeks)

Well its my final exams time, just like a few thousand other students accross the country i've realised i really need to pull my finger out, and work like a dog.

as such i'm giving up coding for 3 weeks.

Now people complain about giving up nicotine, which is a chemical addiction. Coding for me is a way of been happy with the world, because in real life its ****, but inside the comfort of the c# ide, or the raw simplisity of a bit of PIC'ing, life is simple, sucsinct and efficent.

How do you focus on your exams? (which really might of made a better title)

I have only 3 exams which I take in 4 weeks time. One of which was a module that like you I didn't have much respect for but that was only due to it being extraordinarily easy for a final-year module and thus the exam will be a piece of piss.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

4, 3 next week one the week after, only one im worried about, but that will be an absolute bugger, quantum field theory definately for the lose.

As to how do i concentrate? Im seriously considering spamming hexus with tubgirl so i get banned, thatd be one massive distraction out the way. should probably take the cranks off the bike and get someone to hide them somewhere too.

I have the opposite problem. I'm taking classes that involve a lot of programming and it can become a chore, though for the most part its nice getting credit for programming instead of writing random stuff for myself.

nah EE is strictly a hobbie, thou it was an EE lecturer who supervised my final year project, but thats just because we work well together (because i'm pasionate about electronics, and never been taught by him, or taking his exams have never let him down!)

I'm doing my final year exams for a BSc Computer Science & Cybernetics degree. The only EE stuff i've had is very simple, ie transistors logic gates op-amps and terribly simplified PIC programming. I did much more difficult electronics at a-level, but having said that digital logic seams to be one of my better areas, i know some found it hard in the first year.

So now i've got some exams on:
Computer Vision (really intresting, reading has a very good working group who deal with big brother type implementations)
SLEASE (Socail, legal, ethical aspects of science and engineering.... aka bullsh!t)
Principles of feedback, yuckie horrible stupid cyberntics stuff.
Networking, walk in the park, made a TCP/IP stack for a PIC16 before uni, can't belive it was only 3 years ago, the stack was bug riddeled, but worked
Machine Concisounce, half intresting AI, and complicated maths for nureal nets.
Modern Hueristics, problem solviong, optomisation. Quite enjoyable actually.

but coding is a major distraction, so i've not written a single line in 3 days now!
