    Paul Merton's Impro Chums

Went to see the above a few nights ago, starring Paul Merton, Jim Sweeney and a few others, and it was utterly fantastic! If you ever get the chance to see Paul Merton's Impro Chums / The Comedy Store, I wouldn't hesitate. As you might have guessed, it's all improvised, which led to some interesting results.

Anybody else got any recommendations for similar comedy?

    Mike.

Do you know the full line-up? Ive been about 5/6 times now and I am extremely surprised at how much of a difference it makes. There are 7 normal 'players' and then often 1 extra guest.

Personally Paul Merton does definitely not deserve to be the main attraction, Neil Mullarky or Jim Sweeny are up there for me....

Apparently, it was Paul Merton, Jim Sweeney, Lee Simpson, and Suki Webster, although there was another bloke whose name I can't remember...

Edit: Quick bit of searching, and I think it was Richard Vranch.

The Americans took it over with Drew Carey as the host. They did seven seasons, then Drew Carey's Green Screen Show (which was fantastic, but dropped).

American Whose Line was good, but the only thing it was missing was the man with no neck.
