who is good at cell phone navigation?

I've been thinking to install the newly introduced **MATT D _ REMOVED SPAM** on my cell phone recently, my friend told me it's a very convenient navigation software, it only requires your GPRS cell to have Bluetooth function, so it can be connected with a GPS signal receiver to triangulate your position, utterly simple to maneuver, yet I just don't know, will the excess usage of Bluetooth significantly shorten the life of my battery? How often do I have to recharge? Does anyone here have some hands-on experience about this?

If bluetooth is constantly in use then yes it will drain the battery quickly. More re-charging means the long term battery life is shortened.

I'm guessing you're american, this is an english forum so unless that softwares available here we wont be able to help you specifically

it all depends on your phone really - with bluetooth in use, the battery will drain quicker, it will also drain further due to your phone running a Java midlet as well. But if this is for your car, you could just get a car charger of ebay for a few quid

Refer to BenW's remark, well, actually, that **MATT D _ REMOVED SPAM** thing is developed recently by an European company, it's not officially launched in North America yet, so, I guess you guys can use it in the UK as well, the link where you can download the software for free is its homepage, **MATT D _ REMOVED SPAM**, that's where I got it. But to test it, you also need an external GPS receiver that is compatible with the software, that's gonna cost you 50 bucks. Well, please try it out, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from you guys.

still, it's a nifty wee app for your phone - does voice directions and everything. Though i'm sure it'll send your GPRS usage up a fair bit
