    When it gets to the stage where you search for "donkey willy's" and it comes up with "ebay - the best place to buy donkey wily's" - you know google have sold out.

    That's slightly different though - because they're not part of the main google listings - they're easily discernible adverts.

    Plus, what if someone wants to buy a Donkey's widger off ebay anyway?

    I thought I had read that google doesnt use meta data for rankings, possibly ignoring it
    altogether?

    Before google was around I use to use infoseek as it worked slightly differently than all
    the others. You could search inside the results again and again, I always found that I
    could get what I was after much easier.

    Then they changed it and it was cack, like all the others.
