I totally agree with Entroducing... by DJ Shadow. 10 years later and it still sounds fresh. I saw him live a couple of weeks ago and it was the best gig I've ever been too. I can't say I'm particularly impressed with his new album, though I guess I should give it a few more listens before judging it.

I don't see how featuring on some songs makes him a loser? Most of his productions lately don't involve him even being credited on the title anyway, such as Justin Timberlake - My Love, Nelly Furtado - Maneater, Busta Rhymes - Get Down...

Besides with the high premium for his producing services, artists like to advertise his feature as a brand to show they have a Timbo beat.

Every now and again I pop on the Gomez albums and just close my eyes. The stereo imaging is fantastic - there must have been people all over the room tinking and tonking verious instruments. Feels like I'm there in the room with them.

Theres too much stuff to list that I end up playing and thinking - wow this is such a good album. Verve and Oasis being good examples.

Dude, it was a joke (comparing him as a higher person to Timbo, Neptunes, etc) hence the lil laughing dude

If you get annoyed by producer cameo's simply due to the fact of it, that's quite an irrespective thing to base your opinion upon. Producers do make music too, you know.

to be fair, timbaland has made some good tunes.. the neptunes i think are dire.

but it gets to a point where they become to close knit and they start making videos like pharrell and snoop dog and justin timberlake and timbaland and they all intertwine and are in each others videos like j timberlake in furtardos video for no reason..

I can agree with the first bit, Neptunes have really really worn out themselves for the while, the only track I've liked from them this year may be Vato...

Justin appeared in Furtado's video because he was finishing off the album at the time, along with being good mates with Timbo himself. Keri Hilson also cameo'd in that video dancing next to Timbaland (the chick on Xzibits "Hey Now", and also wrote a load of tracks for Danity Kane, Pussycat Dolls, etc). But shes not a producer so that wouldn't wind you up would it

Seriously dude I don't have a problem with opinion at all but the problem with producer cameos you have is like, really silly, sorry ;p Besides without cameos a lot of people wouldn't be aware of their work on the track, unless there was some sort of mandatory shout out on every single one, which aint gonna happen.

EDIT: and The Bets band - Three EPs. The harmonies are outstanding.

Aye, the Beta Band - Three EPs is one of my favourite albums ever (surprisingly, as there's virtually no distorted guitar or heavy drums in it at all)
