Would make sense, given that Hexus happen to use Fluent as their hosting providers?

That's funny. I was on here earlier this morning and I'm sure I saw a post by a Hexus Mod stating that you had guessed wrong. And now it's gone.

A very good idea if that's the case... some open source projects i'm involved in do the same getting .coms... even if they dont use them as their main url.

It seems daft not to do it, especially for the larger organisations. I'm always suprised when you go to a .co.uk of a large company only to find it held by someone else...given the relatively inexpensive nature of domains, you'd think it wise to buy every single domain out there....Considering how much companies pay out to protect brand names, a few hundred quid here and there for domains doesn't seem like a lot.

Different for smaller companies & open source projects, but when your main medium is the internet, seems sensible to secure every access avenue you can find.
