If you think yiou'll do that straight from college with no experience , then you are deluding yourself.

Stick out college , try and get some certifications under your belt ( maybe an evening class or two ) then look at some entry level stuff , which will mean helpdesk/servicedesk

Helpdesks / Service desks are usually a good gateway. Dont expect them to be overly technical , or all that varied , but do show that you are learning and that you have have good troubleshooting skills.

Imho troubleshooting is one of the skills you can't pick up from a CBT - Technical skills can be learnt , but some things are inherent.

I know that sounds good but even I am not getting offered a sniff at many system admin roles despite having 6 years experience with admin on all sorts of different networks including showcasing to public and business and mission critical. Support Manager and Team Leader, they are coming up plenty, strange.

I think as above starting with helpdesk roles would be best but always be extending your knowledge and take on as much responsibility as you can handle (though that will come later probably). You may find a small business willing to take you on, try local adds and cover letters to local companys about small business size.

There seems to be so much riding on IT nowadays you need a very good track record to be taken seriously, and also need to be business savvy not just a techie.
