i'd get a nokia - must be able to get a 6100 for that kinda money - they're pretty good (store lots of text messages, very quick to use - plus the ui will be more or less the same as you're used to

    contract? a e700

for the fact that in a year when u sell it and get a new contract youll get money - where as all the others will have poo resale value, gx10is can be had already on forums for 150ish, same got for most others, where e700 is 250ish, so most likely in a years time will be 50/150 per phone and youll get more back

not only that, the e700 looks well nice, dual color screen, camera....real nice fone

    I agree, get another Nokia.

I've gone through about 5 phones in the past two years and by far the best in terms of UI and design has been the Nokia ones.

Get the Samsung E700, superb phone in all aspects (Have this one myself). The only Nokia that has the Camera at the min on contract is the 7250i and it aint to good with the image quality, if you get a 6100 or 7210 you will have to buy the camera separate. O2 and Vodaphone have the new 6600 that is being advertised on TV at the min but the prices are bloody stupid.

The Z600 is like a brick (Sending mine back due to its size), The T610 is a bit dated now (Pretty good though), The SL55 is once again like a brick and the Sharp handset mentioned aint that hot at all.

I replaced my V200 with the E700 and the V200 is crap in comparrison to this. The E700 does multi capture and you can send to e-mail addreses in different resolutions (On the V200 it was always thumbnail pics if you sent to an e-mail address). Also in camera mode you can change it to night mode so if youare in a darkened pub or club switch to this and you can get a decent pic. It supports all the usual in a modern phone (Java Games, Polyphonic ringtones, GPRS services and things like that). Only downside is that it isn't Tri Band which is required by some countries for travel.

    P900

I'd look at the t610 if you want a proper phone (not the Z600 which is basically a t610 after too many pies). The Sammy has a nice camera but usually costs stackloads more than the 610, and apart from the camera severely lacks features. The photo picture quality of the 7250i is actually quite good, but the screen on the camera is crap and makes photos look pants. The Sagem MyX6 has a far better screen but similar camera and pictures look far better on it. I also preferred the V200 to the E700 myself when testing simply because I found the look/feel of the phone better and it comes with two batteries and datacable in the box. It has got the antenna too which is a bit annoying. The SL55 - avoid! It's very small but the screen and UI are pants beyond belief. I'd go Sammy S300m over the SL55 if you want a really miniature phone. I'd also take a look at the new Moto V600, the V300's bigger brother with bluetooth/infrared and MP3 ringtones.

Try to get a demo of whatever you choose.

I have yet to use/see a phone that I prefer to my T610. The effects on the T610 camera can be a laugh, plus it has a night mode. IMO the v200 is rather on the large size. Whatever you do I really would not get a Nokia 7250, it is old, and the v200 and T610 are vastly superior. It depends on what you like in a phone. If you are not bothered about the size of the phone then there must be some big phones with better features than the T610. For me I like my phones to be small, so for its size combined with its features I would recommend the T610.

    Fone? What are they?

I've got a Nokia 7250i. I'm not one for phones. Well, y'know, in a "mine can circumnavigate Jupiter" sorta way. Due to earning more than £5/annum now, I've got a contract on said phone. It's quite nice. Easy to use [as all Noks are], it's got a neat camera on it, and looks kinda cool. The screen isn't as big as the SErik ones, but it takes me forever to navigate the SErik menus. Find Nokias far easier.

Anyway, I've got one, so anyone else who has one instantly becomes as cool as me.

It's a mistake. The 7250i is not. Understated class. That's what todays modern man needs. Not an in-your-face overdesigned disaster like the SonyEriks. You know it makes sense.
