I tend to find most of the lagers brewed in this country aim for the lowest common denominator, and depend on mass marketing rather than tasting any good to sell.

There are a couple of decent british lagers, the best I've had probably being sam smiths organic lager.
Most of the european lagers are pretty good as well though (as long as it's brewed there, rather than licensed and brewed in this country)

after looking at this thread i decided to go to tescos earlier and get some of the lagers you have recommended instead of drinking the same old san miguel!

    i ended up getting

    sol
    kronenbourg blanc
    kronenbourg premier cru
    mongozo (lager brewed with bananas)

kronenbourg blanc is my favourite closely followed by mongozo mmm bananas then sol!

and i really don't like kronenbourg premier cru!

Id really like to try Budvar, never seen it around though.

I tend to drink san miguel when i drink bottles, or bud if I want something light.

I'm quite lucky with my local pub in Nuneaton, they do a variety of different continental beers, another of my favourites as well as the Duvel I recommended earlier is a polish beer called Zywiec.

i had a taste of kronenbourg blanc a while back, wasn't a fan. Don't really drink lager much though, guiness is my draft drink usually.

If i do order something amber coloured and fizzy, it's usually becks or corona

    My tips:

Efes - effectively the Turkish national beer, and very tasty, although...

Keo - from Cyprus, is quite good too.

Pilsner Urquell - really nice Czech stuff.

Agree with mart_haj86, Zywiec is another good one.
