funny thing is web developers seam to forget where they are in the line of things. They are generally bottom rung, with little or no understanding of proper program and make the back end people's life very hard, so much so i might be lucky enough to get a junket to prauge to sort out our webdevs! Most of the complaints are valid to a point.
The main reason ie6 has problems is age. It is virtually the same as it was over 5 years ago. Now people can moap about standards all they want, fact was in 2000 no one was using them. It was accepted that people would customise different platforms differently.
This is where web devs tend to come unstuck, money. Its about revenue. Why would an end user upgrade TODAY if it ment no extra features? Making life easyer for the web dev is hardly a worry they have, its not as if its remotely difficult anyway, it would just save time.
IE7 hasn't, understandly has this idea, it works, has extra features (phising filter). What does a consumer want? Someone telling them when their been a prat about to give out their ebay details, or something that makes life easyer for people they don't know, in a way they don't understand.
But also seriously, this isn't that funny, if someone registered a domain name of a product i made for the competition, i wouldn't be laughing. Fact is no one is going to ie7 to download it, so i don't see it different to someone buying internet-explorer-seven.info, only to me this seams like waste of a 3 letter .com!
