Before Christmas, that is from a (I think) reliable source. Spoke to a guy who runs an independant (was thinking of buying one) and he said wait a few weeks as the price is dropping before Christmas. This was about a week ago.

I doubt we'll see any major price cuts as the 360 is still a good price compared to the PS3 overall.

Can't see any price cut before Xmas. Why would there be? There's no serious competition as the Wii is a different market IMHO. The big chains are also offering good packages with games so no, I can't see it happening before Xmas. More likely it'll be a spoiler for the PS3 launch. A price cut AND Halo 3 anyone?

you should be buying one when there is enough games you want available for it to make you get it. rather than waiting on a price drop that may never come and will probably be a tenner or something when it does.

Can't see them dropping until at least after christmas, without the ps3 over here 360 doesn't have a real competitor, I agree that the wii is a slightly different market. Especially if there are wii shortages.

As much as I want a wii (ha ha) and have one on pre-order I don't think it will scare Microsoft into dropping the price... So PS3 launch is the best bet
