I dont think you cna really compare those phones though. One is a smartphone the other is a clamshell. Now a comparrison between a gx20 and the e700.. fair enoughOriginally posted by 3Dfx

Orange and Vodaphone have the best signal- undeniable. A positive staement of fact tbh
Heh, whatever. Had an E700, didn't like it. Personally I prefer the P900 looks to the E700, and the functionality blows it away. It's at least as slim as the E700 and that's what matters to me size-wise for fitting it in my pocket. I actually think the t610 and the v200 look better than the E700. Keep playing with your tiny colour screen and crappy effects while I browse the full internet, play DivX films and MP3s and record video on my phone
Orange? .. oh... god knows... long day at work.Who mentioned orange? you on drugs dude

.. O2 and Vodafone have the best signal... i think anywayz... depends where ya live tho I suppose.

I have a PDA to do that with. ... thank you and good night.
Why the hell u wanna listen to music using a fone for is beyond me... I have my £3000 A/V setup for that... thank you and goodnight.
E700 bones your P900
"Thankyou and goodnight"... what a joker, someone's got riled good and proper.
Sure, the E700 bones the P900, whatever you say. ROFL. What planet are you on? Not this one, that's for sure. Unless you're on some expensive drugs. I bet your £3000 AV setup is really portable too, and dragging your PDA around with you whenever you want to record video etc... now who was it complaining about bulk again? I've got an SL55 to play with for a while for when I just want a pure and simple phone, which pretty much bones your E700 for size, as does the S300 I just swapped for the SL55.
So, enough of the willy-waving about thousands of pounds of AV kit (since when has a thousand pound AV amp matched a half-the-price stereo amp in straight music quality anyway?), PDAs, Ferraris etc... I test phones for a living (or well at least to put me through my doctorate) and have used pretty much all the newer handsets on the market for a few days at a time. The E700 is a nice phone as I said up the thread, probably one of the best camera/toy phones you can get. If that's what gets your goat, then fine. It's not as small as the SL55 or the S300 if you're after a minute phone, nor is it as featured as something like the SE Z600 at a similar price with its much better organiser and gaming features and bluetooth. Others will prefer the Nokia 7250i or the newer Series 60 based phones such as the 6600. I believe the E700 also lacks battery life, with a measly 4 hour talk time according to manufacturer's figures, something even the P900 beats. The P900 as Knox said is a different kettle of fish, in a different league both price and feature-wise, and whilst taller and broader than the E700, it's also slimmer front-to-back. Saying an E700 will 'bone' a P900 come-what-may is rather a stupid statement - some people will prefer certain features of the E700 such as the size and the fact it's about half the price, whereas others will go for the P900 for the additional features such as the video player/recorder, full internet browser, virtually unlimited memory for sms/contacts, calendar features etc etc and accept the larger handset and more cost.

no sh!tBut I do believe the E700 > Z600. The Z600 is an awful phone.

1: my workmates brother works at carphone warehouse and I try them before I buy them...for AGGGES in store.you have owned one, I don't think you would realise whats wrong with it. Don't "no sh!t" me.
2: My other mate has one
3: its fatter than the E700.
Shockingly the p900 is the same weight as the e700 86grammes. Not too bulky either.Originally posted by Zathras

Had a look at a p900 at carphone warehouse and i like it lots and i would have one over an e700 anyday. Though i dont think you can compare them- bit of a prie difference, it is a smartphone after all.
P900 weighs about 145g, not 87g! Maybe if you took the flip off and battery out you'd save some weight, but not of the order of 60g. Agreed the Z600 isn't the nicest phone. It's a real shame it wasn't E700-sized as it would be a killer, but as it is it's far too fat and people go for the t610 instead, despite the STN screen as opposed to the TFT on the Z600.
The P900 weighs 150g according to the ericsson website
Oki then it appears i have been misinformed- im holding the link christmas gift guide and it says 86 grammes must be a mistake then. i should have guessed really especially as the p800 was the wrong side of 150grammesOriginally posted by Zathras

Zathras what do you think of the gx20?
Ah yes the carphone catalogue says the phone is 158grammes with the flip sorry
