Wii strap recall

Sorry had a look but couldent see any other threads on this i refuse im the first to see it tho, what do u reckon Nintendo have in mind not they have recalled the current version? A new kind of strap or just replacing like for like. If players not cause themselves injury could they sue Nintendo for removing the safety feature perhaps? Im thinking more in the sue happy US than over here sorry if theres already a post on this
