There's a thread with the offer in Bargain Hunt P4 2.6, I think?

I disagree with it, personally.. but for people such as students who don't have parents to rely on, or parents who struggle to make ends meet and want a computer to do work on/let their children learn on - it's a good idea. It means that some people who won't normally be able to have a PC can use one without having to worry about credit bills, etc.

Ordered one. See what you can do with it, or just use it as a download box, without stressing your own stuff.

i'd have one..."forget" to use the CD, what it disable its self and then reformat.

"2) The PC is lent to you for a term of 36 months, after which you will be offered a new computer and a new agreement, or you can simply return the old machine to a local collection point."

ok so it says nothing about changing the software on it. Just wipe it as soon as you get it and use it for whatever, then when you give it back to them just format it.

I reckon that they will want you to have BB and that there will be an agent on there that will be in constant contact with the mothership and if you format they will take it back, it would be easy enough to keep an eye on, problem would be collecting the machines.

yea you have to use it at least 30 hours a month, and 1 ad pops up every 20mins. so what happens if you are in the middle of a game?

They do ask if you have 56k or Broadband, and I do have it, but I didn't get the impression from the online form, that you can't have it without broadband.

As for adverts in the middle of games; you get a warning message, and can choose to delay the advert for a while, giving you time to save, or at least pause the game, for the minute of the advert.
