Just raised £1010 for charity :)

Finished my sponsored spar in one piece just about.

In total the first rough amount is £1010 which will go to a local charity. It was a top night, no real injuries other than a few bruises from blocking and a couple of the lads slipped over or took a tumble.

Highlight of the night had to be the 15v15 brawl we had. One side of the room had belts on, the other didn't. From my point of view if they didn't have a belt on they were fair game. At one point a poor lad got broken away from the pack so I dived in to give him a bit of a pasting. He did well, covered up and guarded to the point I couldn't get anything through to make contact. Spotting this, one of the blackbelts on my side snuck up behind him, and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around to look and that was all I needed...

Next thing he saw was a glove and a padded foot or two.

Anyhoo, we all had a good laugh and it was worth every second knowing that someone somewhere will benefit even if it's in some small way.

Pics and hopefully movies of the event will follow shortly so I'll have something to show you all.

Good work, chap. I'm curious as to which charity it is, too.

We've yet to decide. In the past it's gone to a lad who needed a wheel chair since he suffered from Cerabal Palsy, the Air Ambulance and also the kids ward at the local hospital.

The club always tries to put a bit back in from something that the members have used or relied on in the past. One of the blackbelts had a bad car crash, the Air Ambulance came in and saved him life. Another guy had two premature babies so we donated money to the hospital as thanks, that sort of thing.

Sounds like good fun, and good job at raising so much for charity.
