As an Englishman living in Wales it was a great day today...and a great performance from the boys.

Now.........................with any luck, when we go to the Millenium Stadium stick it right in the Welsh.

I have good friends here but if i hear the words 'Grand-Slam' mentioned again buy a welshman i'll explode.

We are STILL World Champions remember!!!

Well maybe it was because he has only played in proper matches for a total of around 40 minutes in the last couple of years. He did play very well himself tbh.

looks like i'm not the only one, all the guys at work keep reminding me of the grand slam, the second i mention the world cup its "you wouldn't have won without Jonny Wilkinson"

if we win in Cardiff it will be a great day

Im a welshman and i have no bad word to say about you guys winning the world cup, and dont flaunt our grand slam victory. And honestly last year we were better not to enter the six nations, we played appalingly and disappointed many welsh boys.

You played well in the world cup, and yes Wilkinson did help you, you must admit he has a great kick. But the whole team pulled together and u managed it, ive got no hate towards that.

There are many welsh and english alike who shout the victories and hide the losses, however i wont deny credit to a team who play exeptional, from any country.

Im backing my boys, and hope they pull one out the bag, were a stronger team now and will give you guys a good game.

However Ireland are a strong team, and my money is on them, they are considered one of the best teams next to the all-blacks!

Think they were saying during the broadcast that everyone in the studio/around the stadium, bar the guy who actually awards the Man of the Match, said Ellis should have it. That's what happens when you give such a decision like that to just one person. I wouldn't say it was that surprising though, I mean it was his first International match since the World Cup final 3 and a half years ago and he gets 27 points which, if BBC is to be believed, is the highest total against Scotland ever.

It was nice to see a completely wrong decision go in England's favour for a change too.

No grand slam for Wales now. Not the best game but i think Ireland will only improve. Getting three over against wales is no bad result.

So my predictions for this weekends games.

England vs Scotland - England will win. Reason - they have to, first game under the new coach and some fantastic players back. Jason Robinson, Vickery as Capt, and Wilko (albeit a risk - but a sensible move with Ryan Lamb from Glos and Flood not quite there yet it makes total sense)

With Olly Morgan winning his first cap - and the incredible job he has done at Gloucester this season lets hope he can transfer that to England. A really strong front row - and should be good to see the Wilkinson/Robinson/Tindall/Farrell line up in action. Its the most sensible England line up in the past 3 years.

Italy vs France - France will win - no other option in it - should be interesting though to see how the Internationals who have been playing in the GP - Bortolami and Nieto who are both regulars for Glos. No doubt in my mind they have raised their game and made an impact in the GP - hopefully it can help Italy throughout.

Wales vs Ireland - This is going to be a close one - whoever wins this will probably end up winning the title, my money is going to be on Ireland, they seem to be in the right stature for sure.

    End Table?

    1. Ireland
    2. England
    3. Wales
    4. France
    5. Scotland
    6. Italy.

England/Wales position will come down to on the day performances - the passion which Wales seems to be flying at the moment is killer - but they do slip up on occasion. So England 2nd or 3rd - Wales the other.
So I was right - we did well, but not well enough we need to make sure that its not a fad and the team bonds.

Olly Morgan and Robinson have to bond a bit more. I am glad Robinson is back - and he was good (but again needs a LOT more work)

I can understand the shift to the kicking match - due to the fact the line outs were being won by us.

It was a good win - but Scotland lost... They didn't really stand much chance - i.e they didn't play the best they could.

Ellis should have got man of the match, would have been good to see some of Richards on for the last 15 or so.

    Hard luck Wales.

I thought they played a beautiful game, but definitely recieved the poor end of referee decisions. Then they looked knackered for the last 15mins.
