    Red face AGP Graphics Card Problem

    For some reason my Radeon 9200 wont run at 8xagp, when i go to the properties to change it, it changes back to 4xagp after the restart this is quiet annoying coz i want the max out of my card, there shouldnt be a prob wiv the mobo thats 8xagp 800Fbs ect... so can someone help me out plz much appreciated

    Its a common problem with loads of ATI cards. Is it a Nforce board by any chance ?

    Really dont worry about it, the difference is not noticable.

    Have you got the latest bios on your mb?

    If you have and it still doesn't work i honestly wouldn't worry about it, as Agent said the difference between 8x and 4x isn't really noticeable.

    What PSU you got it running off ?

    It might not be getting enough.

    lol a 450 watt PSU so that shouldnt be a problem! its really puzzeled me! could it be to do with my bios settings?

    check in the bios its set to x8, it should be though as my canterwood board (ic7 max3) seemed to detect I had a x8 card in there by default.

    try up'ing the VAGP votage up to 1.7/1.8 that normaly sorts the problem
