External TV Device?

I'm looking for something to connect my computer to my cable line. I'm setting up a projector for this computer and a nice klipsch speaker system so I need the other PCI slot for the sound card, btw i am using a shuttle... I need something that goes USB or something so I can get my cable line comming in on that... any ideas?

Assuming by cable you mean a cable TV feed, there are USB external TV tuners available, I'm sure, probably Pinnacle and Hauppage do models.

I'm not completely up on the latest, but you could probably find something suitable at PC World. If not, try the usual suspects, Scan, Tekheads, Dabs, should be able to supply.

Oh, just noticed, you're in the USA. perhaps try Newegg?

These tuners are usually able to handle Cable input, my PCI TV card can, it's switchable between terrestrial aerial and cable.

I get my projector tomorrrow so I'm going to see HOW i am going to set this whole thing up... those white projector drop downs are $700 USD!!!! Almost as much as the projector!!! Well I might just get a custom outfitter to do me some kind of material in a real big size for it... Yah wait till tomorrow to see what kind of tuner i will get.
