Same, no 3dMark06, Crysis, Windows performance tool, nTune, anything 3D, videos and DVDs. I'm sure lots more generates the error, funnily enough Quakeworld still plays. Guess it's back to 2fort5 until new drivers.

I've posted this problem over at NVidia forums in the hope it will pick up some others with the same issue and hopefully a solution.

i get the same error in Vista 32 bit aswell (got a spare disk) might try it in XP and see if the card is faulty.
The 169.02 drivers on nvidias site are now WHQL'd, so you shouldn't find any major issues with them.
My 8800GT is sat under my desk right now. Once I get home I'll install it and post back on driver results.
Intel Core i5 4670k Haswell | Asus Z87-K | 16gb Corsair DDR3 Vengeance | Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB OC | Crucial M500 120gb SSD (OS), Crucial M500 250gb SSD, 2TB & 1TB Sata's | Corsair Carbide 200r | LG 27" LED | Corsair CX750M | Corsair h80i
Think it could be my Gainward card? According to the net, there is alot of issues with RAM which cause it too :S
My Inno3d card is working fine under Vista 32bit using 169.02 WHQL drivers. My card idles at 55c
Looks like it might be a gainward issue...

Ill ring scan tomorrow and pm them on the forums and see what they say
Have now tried this graphics card in another computer and have tried all three drivers available supporting the 8800GT. I am now going to return it to the supplier and get another brand. BFG or XFX maybe.
This card is working for others, there is a glowing review on fudzilla of the Gainward specifically. As this NVLDDMKM error seems to be an old issue going back years with nvidia cards I don't want to be part of the masses online waiting for new drivers in the vain hope of it fixing this issue.
I'll be back here if my next card does not work.
I get similar errors on my ASUS card today..
Only that I dont go out.. my system just crashes into BSOD..
Screen filled with blue riffs, then crash.. then 2 minutes later.. BSOD.. goner..
Restarts then its all fine again..
using the WHQL 169.02 now.. very very dissapointed..
EDIT: I think I might have solved the issue.. and it might be Gainward's problem as when I uninstalled Expertools (the one that controls my OC), things 'seems' to go back to normal.. must play longer to be sure..

Just tried that and it didnt work, also ive done a clean install with nothing but the drivers installed and no fix
returned the card to Scan and they said the card was faulty due to DirectX 3D Issues. Just thought id let you know just in case any of you get the same problem I did.

Are you getting a replacement card or another brand of 8800GT?
Mine has been sent back but all other 8800GT are out of stock, I wanted to let you know my succes or failure with a different manufacturer.
I'm now waiting a month for the rumoured 8800GT with 1Gb RAM.
