IS the UK 2407WFP-HC A00 revisionreall worth £400?

    I have a 22" Asus MW221U

but really would like a Dell 24", why? I don't know! I will use the 22" for Gaming (CS:S ete) due to the lower resolution but would like to use the larger Dell for video editing and maybe, if my X1900XT can handle it, for EVE online.

What I am wondering is, is the Dell really worth it to me? I would love one as they look fantastic but it would't really get used all that often. £400 is a lot of money. Ohhh why did Dell have to make such good LCDs?

If anyone here uses one, tell me, how good are they in the real world?

    I have a 24" Dell, although I can't remember exactly which revision.

Upgraded from a 22" Viewsonic. That was a nice monitor, it's on my bedroom wall atm, but the extra real estate from the 24" is what i was after. For sorting and editing photos in Lightroom it is fantastic.

Does anyone do monitor arms which can clamp to a desk which will fit the 2407 and hold its weight?

yep. standard VESA100 fitting on the monitor, and it's only 11kg. Small LCD Desk mount Sv - Trytom would be a bargain basement option

Ummmm... Why? Just set the 2407 to 1:1 pixel mapping, and it will display exactly the signal you feed it with a black border of the relevant size, or set it to scale and it will stretch the signal to fit the larger screen, whichever you prefer. I played Bioshock all the way through at 1280*1024 on mine and it was just fine.

Just wanted to say that I'm one hell of a fussy so and so and just bought a 3 month old Dell 2407WFP-HC for £300 from someone locally.

It's easily the best monitor I've ever seen and used and the display quality is just amazing!

...and to think I posted so many threads worrying about the image quality due to the 'ghosting' issues.

    Very pleased indeed
