    Budget video card advice....

    Hi All,
My folks have a Shuttle SN25P system. They use it mainly for office, and my Dad plays a few RTS games. It sounds like the graphics card has expired - speckly display etc. It was a nVidia 6600 and they were happy with the performance.

What can anyone recommend to replace it? I was considering something like:

Cheap and cool running are more expensive than speed.

    Cheers...

I wouldn't buy an XFX card personally.

I'd go for but the 8600 would be plenty. The 8500 will probably match the 6600's performance.

    £35 for 8500GT, £40 for HD3650, and £42 for 8600GT: no brainer really. The HD3650 should outperform a 8600GT.

I picked up a couple of 8600GTS from aria for £35, bit of a bargain really!
